Mohammed Siraj spoke glowingly of Team India's dressing room atmosphere and the bonding players continue to share in their collective quest and dream of clinching the ICC World Cup 2023 trophy for the nation.

The fast bowler highlighted the values with which Rohit Sharma and his troops take the field for the country and how much they care for and relish each other's on-field success. Siraj believes it's this "unity" that has helped India retain their dominant 8-0 streak in the league stage of the competition, apart from tremendous skill and depth of resources.

India's new-ball quick said there is no junior-senior divide inside the team, which has allowed players like him to feel important and flourish against the world's best oppositions under pressure. The 29-year-old quick has taken ten wickets in eight innings at an average of 31.70 while conceding 5.23 runs an over.

Siraj has been an able ally to the experienced and devastating pace duo of Mohammad Shami (16) and Jasprit Bumrah (15), who have run through opposition batting line-ups in the World Cup, notably helping Men in Blue skittle out Sri Lanka and South Africa for embarrassing 55 and 83 all out, respectively, in the last two matches.

Speaking to Star Sports ahead of India's final league match of the tournament in Bangalore on Sunday (November 12) against the Netherlands, Siraj said,

"Humari team ek parivaar ki tarah hai (our team is like a family and a tight-knit unit). Right now if you see the team environment, everyone is meeting each other and talking to each other, there is a strong unity evident inside the dressing room."

"We know that our goal is the same: we want to win the World Cup for India. The team management is seeking views of everyone, each player is being given his due importance and we know that if we maintain the same atmosphere, we will realise our dream of lifting the World Cup trophy," he added.
