Pakistan have found life extremely difficult to overcome Australia's pocket-size dynamo opener, David Warner, who boasts a fantastic overall record against the Asian giants.

Warner's CV includes a spectacular all-format body of work versus the Pakistanis. The veteran left-hander averages a whopping 80.83 in 12 Tests against them with six centuries and seven half-centuries.

The experienced cricketer also has 839 runs in 14 One-Day Internationals and 397 runs in 16 T20Is versus Pakistan under his kitty while nudging past strike rates of 98 and 138 in the two formats, respectively.

However, Pakistan would feel they've often been let down badly by untimely pieces of misfortune and mistakes against Warner.

Over the past decade, there have been multiple instances where the Aussie player has survived lucky moments against his favourite opposition.

Warner's Lucky Run Versus Pakistan

A Pakistan fan account posted an eye-catching clip featuring some of those moments of great fortunes for Warner as he escaped his way via shocking no-balls and poor drop catches.

The first instance is from the Boxing Day Test of the 2016 series played in Melbourne when Warner was initially bowled off a quality inswinger by Wahab Riaz on 81, but a no-ball saved him.

Then, twice on the following Pakistan visit in 2019, the same thing happened first at Gabba on 56 and then on 226 in Adelaide; Warner survived off no-balls after he was dismissed by debutants Naseem Shah and Musa Khan on each instance.

Fast forward life to the ongoing 2023-24 trip and Warner was batting on 104 when he offered a sitter down the mid-on's throat in the Perth Test but survived as Pakistan failed to bag the catching opportunity.

On Day 1 of the MCG Test, he could've been out for just 2 runs off a perfect outswinger from left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi after edging the ball to first slip. However, to everyone's shock and disbelief, Abdullah Shafique dropped the easiest of catches.

During the recent ICC World Cup, too, Warner found his luckiest reprieve playing Pakistan when inexperienced spinner Usama Mir let a dolly go through his hands at mid-on. Warner was batting on 10 at the time and went on to score 163 off 124 balls in Australia's commanding win.
