Chris Jordan played an exceptional comeback innings, scoring an unbeaten 70 runs off 32 balls from the No.8 position, rescuing his team, the Southern Brave, from a dire situation of 56-6 against Welsh Fires in The 2023 Hundred.

Initially, Jordan struggled to find his rhythm, managing only eight runs in his first 14 balls and even being involved in the run-out of Rehan Ahmed, which worsened their position. However, what followed next was truly remarkable as Jordan unleashed a breathtaking display, accelerating from eight to 70 runs in just 18 balls. His explosive knock included three fours and an impressive seven sixes, making him the only batter from his team to hit a six in the match.

Jordan's onslaught began with three consecutive sixes off Roelof van der Merwe, and he continued to dominate by taking David Willey apart, smashing two more sixes and a four. He formed a crucial 71-run partnership with Craig Overton for the ninth wicket, during which he contributed 65 runs himself. Overton faced only seven balls during their partnership, but it significantly lifted the team's total to a formidable 147-8, turning the tide from their earlier position of 76-8.

Jordan's outstanding performance ensured a nail-biting victory for the Southern Brave, as they managed to edge ahead by just two runs.
