Ben Stokes, hailed as one of the greatest all-rounders in the history of cricket, shares the stage with Liam Livingstone, known for his destructive batting prowess on the global cricket scene. Stokes, the hero of England's 2019 World Cup triumph, came out of retirement to aid his team in their quest to defend their title in India.

However, fate had other plans as he suffered an untimely injury, causing him to miss several crucial matches. Even upon his return, in the encounter against South Africa, his contribution proved insufficient, leading to England's loss by a significant margin of 229 runs.

Both of these cricketing talents find themselves in India as part of the English squad for the ongoing ODI World Cup in 2023. Stokes recently recounted a heart-pounding incident during an autorickshaw ride with Livingstone and the team's strength and conditioning coach, Andy Mitchell. Their tuk-tuk narrowly avoided a collision with a white car, a moment they captured on video.

Watch the video here:

"So, me and Livi [Liam Livingstone] are pretty big lads, and we also had our strength and conditioning coach, Mitch [Andy Mitchell], who is even bigger than us. Now, tuk-tuk's aren't very big. So, you can imagine that we were pretty squashed in the back of his tuk-tuk. This is the one I got [shows the video on his phone]... We were just running up to the roundabout here. Does not slow down and, yeah, there he goes!" Stokes said.

In the current ODI World Cup campaign, England's performance has been less than stellar, securing only one victory out of the four matches played. Stokes missed the initial trio of games due to a nagging hip issue. Upon his return for the match against South Africa, he couldn't quite live up to his potential.

On Thursday, October 26, England faces Sri Lanka in Bengaluru, a potentially make-or-break contest given both teams' underwhelming tournament performance. Livingstone participated in the first three games but was omitted from the lineup for the clash against the Proteas.
