After a humiliating group-stage exit from the Champions Trophy, Pakistan are gearing up for a white-ball tour against New Zealand. The Men in Green will take on the BlackCaps in five T20Is and three ODIs in what is expected to be an absolute cracker of a tour.
Haris Dispatches Shaheen's Short Ball Out Of The Ground
The Pakistan players have started their preparations for the T20I series against New Zealand. In a recently released video, swashbuckling batter Mohammad Haris was seen in great touch, as he hammered ace speedster Shaheen Afridi for a huge six.
Bowling from over the wicket, Shaheen tried to test Mohammad Haris with a sharp short ball. However, the keeper-batter was prepared for it, as he nailed the pull shot and sent the ball out of the park.
Haris recently made a much-awaited comeback to the national side, as Pakistan decided to revamp their core ahead of the T20 World Cup next year. Although he was reported to be one of the captaincy candidates, the PCB replaced Mohammad Rizwan with all-rounder Agha Salman.
On the other hand, despite retaining his place in the T20I team, Shaheen was excluded from the ODI setup. So, the fast bowler would be keen to prove his mettle and get himself back in the 50-over side.
When Does Pakistan's Tour Of New Zealand Start?
Pakistan's tour of New Zealand starts with a five-match T20I series, commencing on this 16th. While Mount Maunganui will host two matches, the rest of the games will be played in Dunedin, Christchurch, Napier, Auckland, Wellington and Hamilton.
