Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are not having the best of times in terms of batting form. India's two biggest batting giants are experiencing a slump. In the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League, both batters have fallen short of expectations.
Both Rohit and Kohli are great players, according to Wasim Akram, and one bad tournament will not diminish their abilities.
Kohli has struggled to play his shots freely, while Rohit Sharma has also struggled to turn his starts into big runs.
Many experts and the media persons aren't happy with both batters' recent struggles. Both Rohit and Kohli have been chastised for consistently failing. However, some of the game's legends have consistently backed the duo to return stronger and make an impact.
However, the Pakistan veteran has also handed it back to the trolls, predicting Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to perform well in the near future.
“Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are great players. Both are on peak now. One bad tournament doesn’t mean their class, their skill, their talent has reduced. This is just temporary and I am saying both will come in form very soon, just one innings away,” Akram cited.
Thus far in the tournament, the Bangalore batter has three golden ducks in the IPL 2022 and has only 216 runs in 12 games with just one half-century. The Indian skipper, on the other hand, has looked good in the middle but has failed to score big.
