In a remarkable turn of events, veteran players David Warner, Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Marsh and Marcus Stoinis have made their way back into Australia's T20I squad for the two-match T20I series against West Indies starting next month.

Notably, Starc, Marsh and Stoinis missed the recently concluded India tour owing to injuries, while Warner was given a break to manage his workload.

However, Cameron Green, who opened the innings in the absence of Warner, has been retained following his spectacular performance in the India series.

Here's what National selection panel chairman George Bailey stated

"We have and are taking a cautious approach with the World Cup on the near horizon. To have four key players return gives us the ability to take a conservative path with any minor issues and resolve those well in time for the World Cup. As such we anticipate Kane and Ashton will return for the following series against England."
