Harry Brook is currently in Pakistan as part of his side’s seven-match T20I series. While the series itself serves as a dress rehearsal prior to the T20I World Cup, Brook’s stellar run with the bat have left some wondering whether to include him in the tournament line-up or not.

England’s white-ball captain Jos Buttler has already expressed his opinion, and he believes the youngster must be included in the expanded squad for the big event.

Moeen Ali, who is currently leading the English side in Pakistan, recently heaped praise on the 23-year-old for his batting dynamics.

Citing Brook’s 35-ball 81* run knock which drove England to win in the third T20I, the senior all-rounder described the youngster as someone who can bat 360-degree.

After Ali, regular captain Jos Buttler now seems to have taken a liking to the emerging star. The seasoned campaigner is of the opinion that Brook deserves a spot in England’s expanded squad for the T20I World Cup. He said:

“That’s exactly what you want. People showing what they can do and giving you options for the final XI. He has been so impressive, not just with the runs he scores but the way he scores them and his demeanour at the crease.”

“He is certainly putting his hand up and making a strong case for that, isn’t he? It’s just great to have such options. We have got some guys coming back in Ben Stokes and Liam Livingstone, so there are some good selection headaches.”
