Indian stalwart, Virat Kohli, the man who’s ruled cricket for over a decade, might be planning a big move. In a recent chat with Jagran, Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma shared some interesting details about Virat’s future—both on and off the field.

Virat Kohli Set To Leave India For London

Well, it seems like he is. According to Rajkumar, Virat Kohli is planning to completely shift to London with his wife Anushka Sharma and their kids.

“Yes, Virat is planning to move to London. He’ll leave India very soon,” said Rajkumar.

The reason for the move wasn’t shared, but it looks like the Kohli family has decided to start a new chapter overseas owing to privacy.  Right now, though, Kohli is juggling cricket and spending time with his family in London. 

He fulfills his cricketing duties and travels to London to be with his family. And now, his coach has revealed that he is planning to completely shift his base to London.


Is Virat Kohli Retiring?

If you’re worried that Kohli might be thinking about hanging up his boots, Rajkumar’s answer will calm you down.

“Virat is still super fit, and retirement isn’t on the cards anytime soon,” he said.

Rajkumar is confident that Kohli will continue playing for at least five more years. In fact, he even believes that Virat will be a part of India’s 2027 World Cup squad.

“He’s got so much more to give to the game. I’ve known him since he was a kid, and I can say with confidence that there’s plenty of cricket left in him,” Rajkumar added.

If Kohli does move to London, it’ll definitely be a huge shift, but it won’t change the fact that he’s one of the biggest Indian cricketing icons of all time.

Fans might feel a bit bittersweet about him leaving, but looking at the incessant attention on Virat, Anushka, and their family, the move seems like an effort to give their kids a more normal upbringing.

In India, their popularity means they’re always surrounded by paparazzi and making headlines, which could make it tough for their children to grow up away from the limelight.
