The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially confirmed the panel of match officials for the highly anticipated ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024. The tournament is scheduled to take place from October 3 to October 20 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The officiating team for this prestigious event consists of ten umpires and three match referees. These women will oversee every match of the tournament, ensuring fairness and adherence to the rules. Claire Polosak and Lauren Agenbag will be the on-field umpires for the opening match between Bangladesh and Scotland, taking place in Sharjah. 

One of the key matchups on October 3, aside from the opening game, will see Pakistan take on Sri Lanka. Kim Cotton and Eloise Sheridan have been appointed to officiate this high-stakes encounter. Additionally, Sue Redfern will serve as the TV umpire, and GS Lakshmi will be the match referee for the first day’s action.

October 6 is a much-awaited day when India and Pakistan will face off in an exciting match at the Dubai International Stadium. Umpires Sheridan and Agenbag will be in charge of this game. A day earlier, Australia will kick off their title defense against Sri Lanka, with Redfern and Anna Harris overseeing that match.

Among the standout matches is between Australia and New Zealand on October 9. The on-field umpires for this contest will be Vrinda Rathi and Redfern. Another major match will take place on October 13, when India faces Australia. Cotton and Redfern will be the on-field umpires, with Jacqueline Williams acting as the TV umpire for this encounter.

Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule and Start Date

The Women’s T20 World Cup kicks off on Thursday, October 3, at 11:00 AM BST, featuring Bangladesh against Scotland, who are making their first appearance in the tournament. This event will be held at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the UAE. The semi-finals are set for October 17 and 18, taking place in Dubai and Sharjah, respectively. 

There will be matches nearly every day, with most days featuring two games at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

The final is scheduled for Sunday, October 20, in Dubai at 3:00 PM.
