Ruby Trichy Warriors (RTW) will look to keep their winning momentum going in the ongoing TNPL 2022 season when they take the field against IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans (ITT) on Monday (June 27). The match will be played at Indian Cement Company Ground, Tirunelveli. 

Ruby Trichy Warriors have made a victorious start to their tournament campaign as they outclassed Dindigul Dragons in their opening fixture by 8 wickets. 

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, the Warriors restricted DD to the score of 144 for 8. Skipper Rahil Shah and Ajay Krishna ran through the batting lineup of the Dragons, picking up two wickets each. 

The Warriors, in response, chased down the total with consummate ease. Nidhish Rajagopal spearheaded the run tally for RTW, smashing an unbeaten 48-ball 64, while Adithya Ganesh anchored the inning well with 38-ball 37 to take his side past the finish line. 

IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, meanwhile, will kick off their season on Monday. They had endured a dreadful season last year as they finished the tournament at the bottom of the points table, after losing 4 of their 7 league stage games. 

Tiruppur has a solid batting order at their disposal with the likes of S Siddharth, S Aravind, Francis Ross, and Tushar Raheja. M Mohammed and Aswin Crist will be the key men with the ball.
