Former Australian pacer Brett Lee, who has rattled many a batters during his days in cricket, spoke at length about Bhuvneshwar Kumar's performances in the recent times. The Aussie stressed on the fact that he would like to see the premier Indian pacer to come up with more good performances in the coming future.

“I want more from Bhuvneshwar Kumar because I know how good he is. This guy is world-class. I want to see Bhuvi continue to make sure he swings the ball both ways, keeps his pace over 140, and if that happens, he leads from the front. He is a part of the wolf pack. If he leads from the front in Australia, I feel the Indian bowling attack can work around someone like him,” Lee told Quint.

In the match against Sri Lanka, Bhuvi relied on his knuckle balls quite frequently in the opening overs of the game but Lee believes that the pacer should be focusing more on swinging the ball. Bhuvneshwar has been guilty of leaking runs in the Super Fours stage of the Asia Cup against Sri Lanka and Pakistan. In the two important matches, he leaked 19 runs against Pakistan and 14 against Sri Lanka where he bowled the 19th over, which eventually ended with India losing the game.

Bhuvneshwar was at his best against Afghanistan

The Indian pacer, known for his impressive economy rate in the shortest format of the game, returned with below average figures of 1/40 against Pakistan, and conceded 14 runs in the crucial 19th over of the match against Sri Lanka that included two wides. However, Bhuvneshwar made a brilliant comeback in India's final game against Afghanistan where he registered incredible figures of 5/4 as the side clinched a 101-run victory.
