Invincibles won the toss and opted to chase down the score. The in-form batter Smriti Mandhana was flawless to drive the Brave at a lavish rate in the powerplay overs. She stitched a 63-run stand for the first wicket, before Danielle Wyatt was dismissed for 14.

Soon, Freya Davies got a major breakthrough in form of Mandhana, who hit 46 off 25, laced with ten boundaries.

Afterwards, Georgia Adams (18) and Freya Kemp (24) were the notable contributors to help Brave to post a total of 153 on the board. Sophia Smale emerged as most successful bowler for Invincibles with two scalps.

Bowlers help Brave to take pole position

Invincibles got off to a flyer with their experienced openers Lauren Winfield Hill and Suzie Bates. The duo added 38 runs for the first wicket, before Bates was dismissed for 15 off eight deliveries.

Soon, Adams breached the defense of Hill (25) to trigger a tricky chase for the Invincibles. Then, Aylish Cranstone (18) and Marizanne Kapp (19) were a little help in the middle-order.

In the end, Eva Gray (16*) and Ryana Macdonald Gay (19*) tried well, but to no avail. Bowling after a long time, Wyatt scalped two wickets, along with Adams to help Brave to win the match by 12 runs.

With two wins in as many league matches, Brave now sit at the pole position in the points table.
