The Hundred 2022, OI vs LS: Three Oval Invincibles players to watch out for

Oval Invincibles will cross swords with London Spirit in the second league match of The Hundred 2022 tomorrow.

The Sam Billings-led outfit had a decent campaign last year, winning four of their eight encounters. They pipped London Spirit by two wickets the last time these two teams faced each other.

Oval's squad looks solid on paper. Ahead of their opening encounter against Eoin Morgan's troops, let's see which three players could be the game changers for the Invincibles tomorrow.

Will Jacks

Regarded as an immensely talented cricketer, Will Jacks has established himself as a prolific T20 batter. Jacks was Oval's second best batter in the inaugural season of The Hundred, with 146 runs at a magnificent strike rate of 175.90.

Further, Jacks finished the Vitality Blast 2022 as Surrey's most successful batter, with 449 runs at an astounding strike rate of 142.08. He also registered an impressive BPB (Balls Per Boundary) value of 5.01, suggesting his incredible ability to clear the fence.

Reece Topley

Hailed as a skilful white-ball bowler, Topley rose to fame recently through a string of impressive outings in the India series. The tall fast bowler troubled the Indian batters time and again, picking 13 wickets in five matches across formats.

He can move the ball both in the air and off the surface. Added to that, he can choke the batters with his deceptive cutters as well. Considering his ability and form, we can expect Topley to bowl a match-winning spell in the game.

Sunil Narine

Well, we all are aware of Sunil Narine's T20 exploits. It won't be wrong to place Narine as one of the greatest ever players in the shortest format.

Narine found his mojo back in the IPL 2022, grabbing nine wickets at a surreal economy of 5.57. Further, he was Oval's second most successful bowlers last year, with seven wickets at a remarkable economy of 6.08. Also, he can be used as a pinch hitter as well as he can hit a long ball against both pace and spin. So, we should keep our eyes on Narine in tomorrow's encounter.
