London Spirit finished as the bottom sitters last season, losing six of their eight matches. They would certainly like to get a winning start for the sake of their respect this year.

Ahead of their crucial opening clash with the Invincibles, let's have a look at three players who could be the game changers for the Eoin Morgan-led outfit tomorrow.

Brad Wheal

Regarded as a skilful white-ball seamer, Brad Wheal has recently impressed everyone with his incredible consistency in the shortest format.

The experienced Scottish paceman picked 22 wickets at a fabulous strike rate of 11.9 in the recently concluded T20 Blast, playing a massive role in Hampshire's triumphant campaign. Further, he was the second best bowler for London Spirit last year, with nine wickets at a surreal strike rate of 6.44.

Glenn Maxwell

London Spirit have strengthened their middle order this time by drafting Glenn Maxwell in to their squad. The veteran Australian all-rounder has a plethora of experience in the shortest format and can demolish any bowling attack on his day.

Statistically, Maxwell has amassed 587 T20 runs at a blistering strike rate of 171.1 this year. With fantastic pace hitters like Morgan and Pollard around, his primary job will be to counter the opponent spinners in the middle overs.

Ben McDermott

McDermott grabbed eyeballs worldwide performing admirably in the Big Bash League 2021-22. The muscular Australian topped the run-getters' list in the tournament, garnering 577 runs, including a century, at a stupendous strike rate of 153.86. His BPB (Balls Per Boundary) value was just five, suggesting his ability of taking the bowlers to cleaners with ease.

Continuing his dream run, the 27-year-old smashed 494 runs in the Vitality Blast 2022 at a marvellous strike rate of 146.15, finishing as Hampshire's second best batter in the tournament. Considering his red hot form, we choose McDermott as the third player from London Spirit to watch out for in the match.
