Glamorgan v Surrey

Match Result: Surrey won by 4 wickets

A brilliant 46-ball 62 from Ollie Pope and valuable cameos from Laurie Evans (23 off 16), Sam Curran (36 off 22) and Jordan Clark (17 off 14) helped Surrey chase down 174 in the final over and claim a 4-wicket win over Glamorgan.

Chasing 174, Surrey got off to a poor start as they lost Jason Roy (15 off 9) and Will Jacks (6 off 6) inside three overs. Both fell to right-arm pacer Michael Hogan, who was sensational on the night, registering barely believable figures of 5/18 in 4 overs.

Hogan was the lone warrior for Glamorgan as the rest of the bowlers leaked runs in lock, stocks and barrels to the likes of Pope, Curran, and Laurie Evans.

He did return to remove Pope and Curran, but it didn't prove to be enough as the trio of Jordan Clark (17 off 14), Chris Jordan (3* off 4), and Jamie Overton (6* off 4) took Surrey past the finishing line.

Earlier, Glamorgan rode on a half-century from Sam Northeast (65 off 51) and a 27-ball 46 from keeper Cooke to post 173/5 in 20. Sam Curran (1/25 in 4) and Sunil Narine (1/17 in 4) were the pick of the bowlers for Surrey.

Gloucestershire v Sussex

Match Result: Gloucestershire won by 41 runs

An all-round bowling performance led by David Payne (3/22) has helped Gloucestershire pick up their first points of the season courtesy of a thumping 41-run win over Sussex.

A brilliant half-century from Mohammad Rizwan (58 off 43) and handy contributions from Luke Wright (25 off 22) and Joshua Phillipe (35 off 31) were not enough for Sussex to chase down 194 as the trio of Payne, Naseem Shah (2/27 in 4) and Paul van Meekeren (2/30 in 4) ran through their middle and lower order.

Earlier, wicketkeeper James Bracey's blistering 45-ball 70 and cameos from Ryan Higgins (39* off 22), and Jack Taylor (21 off 10) propelled Gloucestershire to 193/7 in 20.

Steven Finn (2/15 in 4) was the pick of the bowlers for Sussex.

Hampshire v Middlesex

Match Result: Middlesex won by 10 runs

Middlesex claimed their second consecutive win of the season on Saturday night as they successfully defended their total of 163/6 against Hampshire.

Luke Holland (3/34 in 4) and Toby Roland Jones (2/19 in 4) proved to be the spearheads for Middlesex as they helped their side overcome decent contributions from James Vince (47 off 38), Ben McDermott (28 off 21), Ross Whiteley (27 off 16) and seal a thrilling win.

Vince would be disappointed not to see his side through. The right-hander was dismissed on the last delivery of the penultimate over, which left Nathan Ellis and Chris Wood to get 14 off the last 6 balls from Jones.

They managed just 3 at the cost of Wood's wicket.

This was after a hat-trick of 40s from Max Holden, Jack Davies, and John Simpson guided Middlesex to 163/6 after they had been reduced to 14/3 by Brad Wheal and Chris Wood.

Brief Scores:

Middlesex 163/6 (20)

Max Holden 40 (33)

Jack Davies 47 (38)

John Simpson 41 (26)

Brad Wheal 3/46 (4)

Chris Wood 1/20 (4)

Kent v Essex

Match Result: Essex won by 4 wickets

Paul Walter's unbeaten 32-ball 47 and valuable cameos from Adam Rossington, William Buttleman and Simon Harmer have helped Essex beat defending champions Kent by 4 wickets.

Essex chased down 185 on the 4th delivery of the last over, with Watler fittingly hitting the winning runs.

Harmer killed the chase in the penultimate over, where he smashed Matthew Quinn for consecutive fours.

Essex were always on course in the run-chase thanks to a brisk 48-run opening stand (in 4.3 overs) between Buttleman and Rossington.

The rest of the work was done by the Walter-led middle and lower-order. Fred Klaassen (2/35 in 4) was the pick of the bowlers for Kent. Qais Ahmed (1/24 in 4) and George Linde (1/30 in 4) were economical, but Kent would have liked more wickets for them.

Earlier, Sam Billings' unbeaten 31-ball 48 and valiant knocks from Zak Crawley, Bell-Drummond, Joe Denly and George Linda enabled Kent to rack up 184/4, which ultimately proved to be inadequate in the end.

Brief Scores:

Kent 184/4 (20)

Sam Billings 48* (31)

Zak Crawley 40 (29)

George Linde 23* (11)

Aron Nijjar 1/26 (4)
