In an unfortunate incident, Smriti Mandhana's father has suffered a heart-attack on the day of her daughter and India star Smriti Mandhana's wedding. Notably, on Sunday, November 23, Mandhana and Palash Muchhal were all set to tie the knot, but their wedding now has been postponed indefinitely.
Mandhana's manager, speaking with PTI, confirmed that the wedding has been postponed indefinitely and both Smriti and Palash have rushed to the hospital to look after her father. Notably, an ambulance was also spotted outside the wedding venue earlier in the day.
The manager revealed that Mandhana's father felt unwell earlier in the day when he was having breakfast and his health kept on deteriorating, following which he was admitted in the hospital. For the unversed, the wedding was all set to take place in in Sangli, Maharashtra.
Pre-wedding festivities going for days
The pre-wedding festivities have been going on for days as several days as Palash recently proposed to Muchhal at the DY Patil Stadium, the same venue where India lifted their maiden Women's World Cup title.
Following the proposal, the couple also engaged in a game of box cricket involving the bride and groom side. The events were followed by 'Haldi' and 'Mehendi ceremony' and the videos and photos of the same were shared by India women cricketers. Mandhana's dance with Palash too went viral as the couple were seen grooving to the tunes of the hit Bollywood number ‘Agar Main Kahoon’.
Muchhal, a composer and a singer himself, lent his own voice to the track as Smriti Mandhana joined him with a graceful dance. It has been an unfortunate event that occurred on the wedding day, but hopefully things aren't too serious and updates will be provided regularly.
