India’s stylish southpaw and fan-favorite opener Smriti Mandhana has just launched her most exciting project yet and it is not with the bat this time. Smriti has teamed up with renowned UK-based coach Don Bhagawati to open City Cricket Academy by Smriti Mandhana right in the heart of Dubai at the Dubai International Academy, Al Barsha.

For someone who is known for timing the ball sweetly on the field, Smriti Mandhana’s timing off it seems just as perfect. This academy is her passion project built with a vision and a whole lot of heart.

Coach Don Bhagawati, who has been a pillar in UK grassroots cricket, couldn’t be happier. He called it a rare moment where a player still active on the international stage dives into the grassroots pool with both feet.
