Sri Lanka Women will be up against the challenge of the Indian Women’s team in the second fixture of the bilateral ODI series on July 4 (Monday) at Pallekele.

Then, Harleen Deol (34), Deepti Sharma (22*), and Pooja Vastrakar (21*) were the notable run-scorers to take India home in 38 overs and take the lead of 1-0. The left-arm spinner Inoka Ranaweera was the pick of the bowlers for the home team with four wickets. 

In this fixture, the Indian team is likely to field with the same set of players and secure a series victory. The opening batter Mandhana has been inconsistent and would look to come up with an improved performance in this game. It will be critical for the Indian team to secure a victory and strengthen themselves before the upcoming pinnacle tournaments.

On the other hand, the Sri Lanka team would look to find a contribution from their skipper, Chamari Athapaththu and level the series.
