With three days left for the eye-grabbing maiden season of the Women's Premier League, the league has managed to sign the world-renowned broadcaster Sky Sports as the media partner of the league for the United Kingdom (UK) territory.

The deal comes after it was reported that Sky has backed out of the men's IPL rights with Dazn and ITV jointly entering the partnership for the next five years.

The league begins on the 4th of March with Mumbai Indians taking on Gujarat Giants at DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai.

Apart from the foreign rights, the BCCI managed to sell the domestic rights for a valuation of ₹951 Crore to Viacom18 for the next five years which means the cost per match boils down to ₹7.09 Crore.

Moreover, Tata was signed as the title sponsor of the league along with them having the same rights for men's IPL.

Furthermore, the five franchises namely Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz were sold for a record sum of ₹4700 Crore.

All these sides will be involved in a total of 22 matches across two venues that will see the top three sides making it to the next stage with the final scheduled for 26th March.
