Players who will deserve all the plaudits if they do win- Cook

Simon Cook stated that if Kent win the final, the credits should all go to the players who put in the hard yards while preparing, then go out on the field, execute their plans and win matches for their side. He also said that the role of the support staff was to ensure that they help the players polish the skills required to go and win the matches.

“It’s really about the players. It’s about their journeys and their successes. They are the ones that do it out on the field and have to take all the pressure.

“Realistically, we, as support staff, are here to get what they need and allow them to go onto the field in the best possible shape to deliver the skills they want to deliver.
