Amy Jones thinks all the players stepped up at the right time to help England produce a fightback and secure a 2-1 T20I series victory against India on Thursday at Bristol.

England's decision to field first went in their favour as they dismissed Indian openers Shafali Verma (5) and Smriti Mandhana (9) in quick succession. Soon, the wicket of skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (5) put the visitors reeling at 35/5.

However, Deepti Sharma (24) and Richa Ghosh (33) provided much-needed contributions to pave the way for India to post a respectable total of 122 on the board.

Sophie Ecclestone was the wrecker-in-chief for Three Lionesses with three scalps, followed by the series' most successful bowler, Sarah Glenn with two wickets.

In response to the chase, England got off to a stable start with their opening pair, Sophia Dunkley (49) and Danielle Wyatt (22).

Afterwards, Alice Capsey continued her bright form to remain unbeaten on 38 off 24 balls, laced with six fours to seal the chase for England with 10 balls to spare.

Along with praising the team's efforts, Jones reckoned Capsey has been sensational for the team with her all-round performances.

"Thanks feels very good. Everyone stepped up in time. Yeah, it's been very different, quite daunting coming in the first game. We knew what our roles were. And the girls really came in well.

"She [Alice Capsey] is great, I think, she is so good. She has got all the shots and does it so well. She is a banker for us with the ball and has been sensational as well. Obviously, we're gonna go the same. in the second game, we were a bit hard at the game."
