Shpageeza Cricket League 2022 | All-round Knights, explosive Tigers sum up the day

The third day of the 2022 edition of Shpageeza Cricket League saw plenty of action between bat and ball.

In the end, Mis-e-Ainak Knights and Speen Ghar Tigers emerged victorious in their respective matches to claim valuable points.

Mis-e-Ainak Knights v Band-e-Amir Dragons, 5th match

In the 5th match of the ongoing SCL 2022, Mis-e-Ainak Knights made light work of Band-e-Amir Dragons to notch up their maiden win of the season.

Batting first, the Dragons could only manage 50 runs in 14.2 overs thanks to an all-around bowling performance from the Knights'-led by the duo of Mir Hamza (4/9 in 4 overs) and Zahir Khan (3/17 in 3.2 overs).

The state of the struggle of the Dragons' can be ascertained from the fact that only one of their batters - Karim Janat (10 off 14) - could register a two-digit score.

In response, the Knights' lost their top-four cheaply courtesy of Nijat Masood, Noor Ahmad, and Aftab Aslam.

However, Iftikhar Ahmed and Nangeyalia Kharote's unbeaten 26-run stand ensured that they knocked over the target in the 8th over.
