Shikhar Dhawan and wife Aesha Mukherjee part ways after eight years of marriage

Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan’s wife Aesha Mukherjee announced that she is getting a divorce from her husband and that it felt very scary being divorced the second time in her life. The couple tied knots eight years ago and have a son together, named Zoravar.

In her lengthy Instagram post, Aesha wrote, “I THOUGHT DIVORCE WAS A DIRTY WORD UNTIL I BECAME A 2 TIME DIVORCEE.”

“Funny how words can have such powerful meanings and associations. I experienced this first-hand as a divorcee. The first time I went through a divorce I was soooooooo fu@kn scared. I felt like I had failed and I was doing something so wrong at that time

“I felt as if I had let everyone down and even felt selfish. I felt that I was letting my parents down, I felt that I was letting my children down and even to some extent I felt as if I was letting God down. Divorce was such a dirty word,” she added before going on to describe how tough her life is going to become as she would go once again through the mental trauma of failure in marriage

“So now imagine, I have to go through it a second time. Woooahhhhhh. That is terrifying. Being divorced once before already, felt like I had more at stake the second time round. I had more to prove. So when my second marriage broke down it was really scary. All the feelings I felt when I went through it the first time came flooding in. Fear, failure and disappointment x 100. What does this mean for me? How does this define me and my relationship to marriage?" wrote the 46 years old.

While there has been no confirmation from Dhawan, who recently led Team India in Sri Lanka and is currently in UAE to compete in the Indian Premier League, there hasn’t been any denial of the news by him or his family either.

Aesha, a Melbourne based boxer, has two daughters from her previous marriage and is 11 years older than Dhawan.

SL vs SA | 3rd ODI: First time in history, spinners bowl 40 out of the 50 overs for South Africa in ODI cricket

If this is told years down the line that a South African cricket team with Kagiso Rabada, Wiaan Mulder and Andile Phehlukwayo in it, decided that 40 of its mandatory fifty overs in an ODI would be bowled by four spinners against a spin playing team like Sri Lanka, it would be very hard to believe. It might also become a quiz question for generations to come. Believe it or not, but that did happen and it happened on September 07th, 2021 in the third ODI of the three-match series between Sri Lanka and South Africa played at the R Premadasa stadium in Colombo. In fact, of the four spinners involved, one was a part-time bowler Aiden Markram who ended his 10 over spell with figures of 1-41. Among the other three, skipper Keshav Maharaj was the most successful with figures of 3-38 from his 10 overs. George Linde and Tabraiz Shamsi picked one wicket each as Sri Lanka slothed its way to 203-9 in its allotted 50 overs after being reduced to 121-6 in the 27th over. While among the nine wickets, eight were taken by spinners, it wasn’t till the 49th over that a pace bowler got a wicket. Mulder’s second delivery of 49th over, after being hammered by Chameera went straight to Janneman Malan at square leg and that's how the first wicket by a fast bowler was registered in this innings. While this has been a feat that might not be repeated ever, it broke an earlier record of three South Africa spinners bowling 30 overs in a fifty over a game. It happened during a game against India in Jamshedpur in 2000, which is 21 years ago.

SL vs SA | 3rd ODI: Flurry of wrong decision-making by umpires highlights first innings

The umpires Kumar Dharmasena and Lyndon Hannibal had a hard day at the office at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo during the first innings of Sri Lanka vs South Africa third ODI. They made some messy decisions which were eventually overturned after the review was taken. In total, the umpires made five wrong decisions including not being able to pick a no-ball for extra men outside the circle. The first of the wrong decisions was the very first wicket when Avishka Fernando, hit on the pads at the middle and leg was give not out while the hawkeye after the review was taken confirmed that the ball would have comfortably hit middle and leg. This was on the bowling of South African skipper Keshav Maharaj. Some overs later, George Linde hit Dinesh Chandimal on the pads after the latter missed a straighter ball trying to sweep it. This was also given not out by the umpire before skipper Maharaj was convinced by Linde and wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen to take the review. The review showed that the ball pitched in line contrary to what the umpire thought that it was pitching outside leg and then it went on to hit the middle stump. Later on, Chamika Karunaratne was adjudged out leg before wicket off a Tabraiz Shamsi delivery that he had hit for sure and on review, it showed exactly that. In the 4oth over once again the umpire gave out to Dushmantha Chameera on the bowling off Shamsi while the ball was clearly doing too much and missing leg stumps, which was confirmed after Chameera took the review. Lastly, Charith Asalanka was declared out after he was caught down the square leg off the bowling of Linde, however, on Asalanka’s complaint, the no-ball for one extra fielder outside the 30 yeard circle was checked and it was confirmed, giving Sri Lanka and Asalanka a shy of relief. However, it was one more evidence of umpires’ mistake in this game.

BAN vs NZ | 4th T20I: Having tasted blood, New Zealand look to stretch series to the final

The New Zealand team was able to put one behind Bangladesh which is a rare phenomenon considering how badly they lost the first two games and how badly their neighbours Australia were routed early on. However, now that the Tom Latham led side have won a match to keep the series alive, it is obvious that they know the recipe of a win now, which is to put Bangladesh under pressure by putting runs on the board. The Bangladeshi team would look to now make amendments from their horror show with the bat in the last match where they folded for only 76, their second-lowest T20I total ever. Not a single batter was able to settle down and plan the chase of only 129 runs. All the tsar batters including the likes of Shakib Al Hasan, Liton Das and skipper Mahmudullah literally gave their wickets away. This match is also important for the fact that Finn Allen would be back for New Zealand and with him at the top, the Blackcaps would be feeling confident to go a bit more further with their scoring. Bangladesh though are playing with the best team possible and hence the best they can do is to bring in Soumya Sarkara in place of Mohammad Naim who has failed in the first three games and Shoriful Islam in place of Mohammad Saifuddin to give Mustafizur Rahman an able fast bowling partner. Bangladesh vs New Zealand: Details Match Number- 04 Date and Time: September 08, 2021, 03:30 pm IST, 04:00 pm Local time, 10:00 am GMT Venue: Sher-E-Bangla Stadium, Dhaka Live Streaming in India: Fancode Pitch Report There is nothing to guess about the Dhaka wicket. It is going to be low and slow and it would be hard to score, that’s for sure. If the skipper wins the toss, he would definitely look to bat first and put as many runs as possible. Weather Forecast With 69% humidity and temperatures ranging in the lower thirties, it is going to be as hot a day as it is in September in that part of the world. There are however chances of rain as well with precipitation percentage as much as 37%. ENG vs IND | 5th Test: England recall Jack Leach and Jos Buttler for Manchester Test

Whether it is an outcome of the last Test defeat or whether focussed on things to come, but Jos Buttler, who went on a family break after the third Test has been recalled for the last Test in Manchester. Along with him, Somerset spinner Jack Leach has been called in as well giving an indication of things to expect in Old Trafford, which turned even during the T20 Blast games. Although Craig Overton suffered a blow to the elbow while batting in the fourth Test, he has still been included in the 16-man squad announced on Tuesday. Sam Billings, who was called in as cover for Buttler has returned back to his county of Kent. Mark Wood would be avoidable for selection in the fifth Test and England head coach Chris Silverwood feels that it can work as an advantage for the team. “He could come back and if he does, he will obviously add that pace for us. If the pitch is abrasive as it usually is at Old Trafford there should be reverse swing,” Silverwood said about Wood. About whether James Anderson will play the game at his home turf or not, Silverwood said that it would be decided after a chat with the man himself on where does he feel about his body. “James knows his own body. He will certainly give me an honest opinion of where he is at, and it's certainly something I will listen to,” he said. England squad: Joe Root (capt), Moeen Ali, James Anderson, Jonny Bairstow, Rory Burns, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Haseeb Hameed, Dan Lawrence, Jack Leach, Dawid Malan, Craig Overton, Ollie Pope, Ollie Robinson, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood
