The Champions Trophy is almost a few hours away and Team India is gearing up for the marquee event. After arriving in Dubai a few days ago, Rohit Sharma and the team have already been spotted spending extended hours in the nets.

As Shami is coming back to an ICC event after the 2023 World Cup, his bowling was a concern to the side. However, the experienced pacer put those worries to rest with extended hours of practice in the nets, assuring both the team and fans of his readiness.

Shami Fired Up The Bowling Session

Mohammad Shami is one of the main faces of Team India’s bowling unit. However, the 2023 ODI World Cup hero silenced doubts by shaking off his fitness issues and setting the nets on fire with his powerful bowling, proving he's ready to conquer again.

As the entire side was practicing in Dubai, Shami was seen practicing with the compression on his knees for extra protection. But the bowler dazzled with his lethal bowling action with extended net sessions, reported by TOI.

As he prepares to step into the tournament, Mohammad Shami has been fine-tuning his game with the new ball, effortlessly slipping back into his old rhythm. As the team is entering into the big stage Shami’s flexible bowling practice has become a huge fuel for Rohit Sharma and Co.

Shami Will Be A Key Weapon In Bumrah’s Absence

Before starting the Champions Trophy journey in 2025, Team India faced a setback as Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out for the tournament. Along with this, Shami’s comeback provided hope to the team management. After a long injury saga, Shami came back to the side in the recently ended limited-over series against England.

After returning from a long injury layoff, the speedster had a tough outing in the series. In the T20I series, he secured 3 wickets in 2 matches and secured 2 wickets in 2 ODI games. His form raised a concern before the mega event. However, with his prime rhythm returning in the nets, fans are eagerly hoping to witness some lethal death bowling from him in the upcoming matches.
