The much-awaited third season of the International League T20 (ILT20) is scheduled to get underway with a fabulous opening ceremony at the Dubai International Stadium on Saturday, 11 January 2025. The programme will include special dance performances by Bollywood actors Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, and Sonam Bajwa. 

Festivities will start at 6:00 PM local time, while the gates open for spectators from 4:00 PM onwards. The evening will end in a spectacular fireworks display before the defending champions, MI Emirates, take on the Dubai Capitals in a reprise of last season's finale thriller at 7:15 PM.

ILT20 2025 season opening ceremony to witness Bollywood glamour!

Renowned Bollywood producer and actor Jackky Bhagnani, along with popular host Ridhima Pathak, will anchor the evening. Shahid Kapoor will be featured at the event with a special dance performance.

Besides, Punjabi actress Sonam Bajwa and South Indian actress Pooja Hedge will also add their glamour to the electrifying opening ceremony.

Fans can enjoy the opening ceremony and the match in the stadium for a nominal price. Also, the event will be broadcast globally on Zee Network and its digital platforms.

The six teams that are taking part in the tournament will include some of the biggest names in T20 cricket, including Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, David Warner, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran, and Jason Holder. 

There will be great debuts also in the 2025 season from the stars Fakhar Zaman, Shai Hope, Lockie Ferguson, and Tim Southee.

Harbhajan Singh, Shoaib Akhtar to team up for ILT20 2025

The 2025 edition of the International League T20 (ILT20) is set to kickstart on January 11 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, with cricket legends Harbhajan Singh and Shoaib Akhtar returning as ambassadors. The former Indian spinner and Pakistan’s ex-speedster will also don the commentator’s hat for the month-long tournament.

The third season of ILT20 will begin with a clash between defending champions MI Emirates and last year’s runners-up Dubai Capitals. The competition features six teams playing 30 matches in a double round-robin format, with the top teams progressing to the playoffs.
