Star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has made his way back into Pakistan's T20 World Cup squad, announced today.

Veteran opener Shan Masood, who is yet to make his debut in T20Is, has made the cut, while youngster Haider Ali has retained his place despite not playing a single game in the Asia Cup 2022.

However, Fakhar Zaman, the swashbuckling opener, has been dropped to the reserves alongside Mohammad Haris and Shahnawaz Dahani.

Babar Azam will continue to lead, while all-rounder Shadab Khan will play his deputy's role. On the other hand, seamer Hasan Ali has been shown the exit door following his frequent unimpressive outings in the shortest format.

On the expected lines, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain and Naseem Shah have been picked to shoulder the fast bowling responsibilities alongside Shaheen.
