The Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2025 is set to kick off this Saturday (September 20, 2025), with India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh emerging as the top two teams from their respective groups. With the group stage nearing its conclusion, attention now turns to a blockbuster round-robin phase, where every team will face each other once. The top two will progress to the much-anticipated final on Sunday, September 28.

But beyond the Asia Cup, what’s catching fans’ attention is the heavy Indian Premier League (IPL) presence across India and Sri Lanka's squads. Having said this, in this article, let's take a look at the list of players with their IPL teams. 

Mumbai Indians (MI) – 5 Players

  • India: Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah
  • Sri Lanka: Charith Asalanka

Mumbai Indians boast a power-packed representation in Asia Cup 2025, with four Indian players - Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah,Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya in the Indian team. From Sri Lanka middle-order dynamo Charith Asalanka was also the part of MI in IPL 2025. 

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) – 3 Players

From KKR- Rinku Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy and Harshit Rana are in the India's squad and were also the part of IPL 2025. 

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) – 2 Players

  • India: Jitesh Sharma
  • Sri Lanka: Nuwan Thushara

In IPL 2025, Jitesh Sharma and Sri Lankan seamer Nuwan Thushara were part of the RCB and are also part of the Asia Cup 2025.

Delhi Capitals (DC) – 3 Players

  • India: Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav
  • Sri Lanka: Dushmantha Chameera

Spin twins Axar and Kuldeep are vital cogs in India’s campaign, while Chameera’s pace offers variety to Sri Lanka's attack, and these three players were part of DC in IPL 2025.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) – 2 Players

  • India: Shivam Dube
  • Sri Lanka: Matheesha Pathirana

All-rounder Shivam Dube brings explosive hitting to India’s middle-order. From Sri Lanka, Matheesha Pathirana is part of the Sri Lankan squad. From CSK in IPL 2025, Shivam Dube and Matheesha Pathirana are part of the Asia Cup 2025.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) – 2 Players

  • India: Abhishek Sharma
  • Sri Lanka: Kamindu Mendis

Abhishek Sharma has earned his place with aggressive top-order performances for team India, while Kamindu Mendis adds versatility to Sri Lanka’s middle order and in IPL 2025 both play for Sunrisers Hyderabad. 

Punjab Kings (PBKS) – 1 Player

Left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh continues to be a dependable T20 option for India. However, it is important to mention that he is part of India's squad but has not been part of the playing XI for the 'Men In Blue'. In IPL 2025, Arshdeep Singh was a part of the Punjab Kings.

 Gujarat Titans (GT) – 3 Players

  • India: Shubman Gill
  • Sri Lanka: Kusal Mendis, Dasun Shanaka

GT has a strong Super Four representation with India’s vice-captain Shubman Gill, Sri Lanka’s wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Mendis, and Dasun Shanaka. 

Rajasthan Royals (RR) – 3 Players

India: Sanju Samson

Sri Lanka: Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana

From IPL 2025, Sanju Samson and Sri Lanka’s spin pair Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana are part of the Asia Cup 2025.
