Indian cricket skipper Rohit Sharma has been trolled on social media after pictures of former South African skipper Faf du Plessis posing to flaunt his ripped physique began surfacing on social media. The contrast between the toned body of du Plessis and the rather relaxed fitness level of Rohit became a talking point among cricket fans, resulting in memes and debates over fitness standards in modern cricket.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma is currently not able to score runs in the Test format. Under his leadership, the skipper lost the pink ball Test against Australia in Adelaide and miraculously drew the next game in Gabba.

Amid concerns over his form with the bat, Rohit Sharma has come under scrutiny for his leadership and fitness concerns. Recently, a photo of former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis has gone viral. In the image, the 40-year-old is seen flaunting his toned physique. 

In the picture, the 40-year-old is flaunting his chiseled physique. A fan in the comment section drew comparisons to Rohit Sharma, mocking the Indian captain's fitness levels and questioning his commitment to staying in shape.

Rohit Sharma is always credited with his sublime batting and his leadership skills but has always been under scanner for his fitness. According to his critics, he does not meet the level of some of his fellow contemporaries like Virat Kohli, who have a reputation for their intense fitness routine. His recent struggle with form only adds to the criticism.

Apparently, the board and selection committee has reportedly targeted Rohit Sharma as well as couple of its senior members. According to sources, if the India Test team failed to clinch the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and lost its seat at the WTC 2025 finals, there would be a complete overhaul in the team.
