Rajat Patidar came into the Test series against England with loads of runs under his belt and everyone expected him to deliver in the Test arena as well. However, he has not been able to live upto his billing so far and has scored just 63 runs in three Test matches.

It has brought his place in the XI under threat for the fifth and final Test match and it would be interesting to see what combination India prefers at Dharamsala.

Amidst these speculations, Sandipan Banerjee, OneCricket's correspondent has mentioned in his post on X that Rajat Patidar will get another go in the final Test looking at how things have panned out in Indian training session.

It looks like Rajat Patidar got a long run in the training session compared to Devdutt Padikkal who is touted as Rajat's replacement and can make his debut if Rajat Patidar is dropped.

However, Rajat Patidar is player of pedigree and it seems that the management wants to give him one final go, before they take call on his future participation for India in Test cricket.

India are leading the series by a 3-1 margin and would be looking to make it 4-1 to boost their WTC final chances when the 5th Test starts at Dharamsala.
