According to the latest report published by ESPNCricinfo, Pakistan, for the first time, will take part in the Road Safety World Series, a T20 league featuring former internationals.

The competition, which was held in India for the first two seasons, will have its third edition in September. It will be next held in England, and thus, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has reportedly given them approval to participate in the tournament.

"The league  (Road Safety World Series) has been played in India so far but the coming season will be held in England and ESPNcricinfo has learnt it has got the approval from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB)," an ESPNCricinfo report read.

Due to the ongoing political tensions between the two nations, Pakistan was not invited to participate in the Road Safety World Series in India.

The third season's start and end dates are still being determined, but they are anticipated to be in early September and run for three weeks. With Pakistan’s inclusion, nine teams are set to participate in the coming edition.

Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Kevin Pietersen, Sanath Jayasuriya, Shane Watson, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Brian Lara, Jonty Rhodes, Shane Bond, and many other legendary players have already participated in the Road Safety World Series.
