Rishabh Pant set to play against KKR [Source: AP]
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant is all set to face the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), in the 21st match of IPL 2025. The game will be played at Eden Gardens on April 8.
Pant has been under pressure lately due to his poor form. In the last four matches, he’s scored just 2, 2, 15, and 0 runs. Many fans and experts have questioned his performance this season.
Despite that, LSG have had a decent run so far, winning 2 out of their 4 matches. They recently defeated the Mumbai Indians. Meanwhile, KKR is currently placed 5th on the points table, also with 2 wins and 2 losses.
Even though Pant is struggling with the bat, he’s very close to achieving some major milestones in T20 cricket, especially in India. These records could be broken in the next match against KKR. Here’s What Pant is About to Achieve:
1. 8 Fours Away From 350 Fours in India (T20s)
Pant needs only 8 more boundaries (fours) to complete 350 fours in T20s played in India. Known for his aggressive batting, this milestone is within his reach; if he gets going.
2. 13 Sixes To Complete 200 Sixes In India (T20s)
He’s also close to hitting 200 sixes in T20s played in India. Just 13 more sixes to go. Looking at his current form, it might be a tough ask in one match, but if Pant finds his rhythm, anything’s possible.
3. 4 Fours Away From 300 Fours In IPL
Rishabh Pant is only 4 boundaries away from reaching 300 fours in the IPL. Currently, he has 296 fours, and this is a milestone he could easily hit in the next match.
4. 2 Dismissals To Complete 50 Dismissals As T20 Captain
As a wicket-keeper and captain, Pant needs just 2 more dismissals (whether it’s catches or stumpings) to complete 50 dismissals in T20s as a captain.
