Having been initially picked by KKR in the IPL 2018 auction for ₹80 lakhs, Rinku Singh's journey had its share of ups and downs. The first three seasons of his IPL career didn't witness remarkable performances, but he transformed into a match-winner for KKR in the subsequent two seasons.
Singh's stellar form was not limited to the IPL, as he continued to excel in domestic cricket, earning him a well-deserved opportunity to don the Indian jersey.
His standout moment came in the IPL 2023, where he left spectators awe-struck by smashing five consecutive sixes against Gujarat Titans, securing an unforgettable victory for his team. This performance propelled him to new heights, and he sustained his impressive form throughout the tournament, amassing 474 runs in 14 matches at an outstanding average of 59.25 and a staggering strike rate of 149.53. His consistent and explosive batting made him a valuable asset for KKR, leading to his retention for the IPL 2024 season.
