After posting 192 on the board, Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians (MI) have brought in the express pace of Riley Meredith in place of batter Tilak Varma who displayed fireworks in the first innings.

This comes after Mumbai were asked to bat at Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad by Aiden Markram. MI crossed the 190 run mark on the back of a promising innings from Cameron Green.

Meanwhile, Tilak played an extremely crucial knock of 37 runs from 17 balls where he thumped four maximums while batting at a strike rate of 217.

Meredith will have an important role to play with Jason Behrendorff, Arjun Tendulkar and Cameron Green in the pace bowling department as they will have to defend a decent total.

Until now, the Australian right-arm pacer has snapped up three wickets from three games. Previously, he was brought in as replacement for injured Jhye Richardson who was ruled out prior to the start of the season.

Sunrisers have not made any impact substitutions until now but they have options in form of Abdul Samad, Vivrant Sharma, Glenn Phillips, Mayank Dagar and Umran Malik.

By the time of publishing, SRH were 22 for 1 after the end of three overs.
