With the match hanging on a tightrope, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have sent Abdul Samad to bat with six overs remaining and 66 runs to get. Samad replaces left-arm pacer T Natarajan who earlier went for 50 runs in his four overs.

The big-hitter from Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) has a major role to play as he walked in after the big wicket of Heinrich Klassen who played 16 balls for his 36 runs knock with four fours and two sixes as he changed the game in a matter of time.

On the other hand, Mayank Agarwal played a decent knock of 48 runs to take his team safely to that stage after the fall of a few quick wickets.

Samad has the ability to smash the ball a long way as he has previously demonstrated for the franchise with him being retained during the 2022 mega auction.

Earlier, Mumbai chose Riley Meredith as their impact player in place of Tilak Varma to boost their pace bowling attack.

MI posted 192 on the board with fine innings from Cameron Green and Tilak Varma who launched an attack on Hyderabad's bowlers.

By the time of publishing SRH are 143 for 6 with Marco Jansen striking at the other end.
