Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Vice President Rajeev Shukla on Tuesday once again confirmed that the Indian players will not be allowed to participate in foreign leagues.

Recently, there had been speculations of MS Dhoni being the mentor of the Joburg Super Kings in the CSA T20 League. However, the board had refused to allow Dhoni to participate in the rival league, due to his ties with BCCI and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.

Although the IPL franchises have snapped up teams in the rival leagues, the players are still contracted to fulfil their commitments to the board and the league.

“We do not provide our players to any other cricket league abroad. We have a straight policy regarding this. Our Indian Premier League is itself a huge league and we cannot allow any of our players to attach themselves to any foreign league in any manner,” Shukla told ANI.
