R Ashwin Quotes MS Dhoni After Hardik Pandya's 'Doesn't Matter' Response To Series Loss vs WI

The only blemish on a successful tour of the Caribbean for India was the T20I series loss, which ended 3-2 in favour of the West Indies. Led by stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya, a young Indian T20I side made a strong comeback in the series after 2-0 down, despite lacking several departments across matches.
Pandya, known to give over-the-top statements, said that one series loss "doesn't matter" after the fifth and final T20I, and the T20 WC 2024 is a long way away to discuss.
Ravichandran Ashwin, who enjoyed his time in the Tests series against West Indies, disagreed with Pandya's view on T20 WC.
Speaking on his YouTube Channel, the leading off-spinner further cited former captain MS Dhoni saying on losses in cricket while also highlighting the positives for Team India in the T20Is.

"MS Dhoni and a few coaches of mine have said this: 'When you lose you learn so many things. But people who learn even when they win, will become champions."
"There are plenty of positives from this T20I series. I am not talking, backing, or supporting anybody. All of these are secondary. As a youngster, if you are going to the West Indies, there will be some challenges."
Meanwhile, Ashwin did not shy away from appreciating West Indies for the performance and lauding them for their spirited win.
Talking about India, the Men in Blue will take on Ireland in a three-match T20I series before departing to Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup 2023.
