This strategic partnership is designed to boost the growth of men's and women's cricket in Italy. The initiative comes after the Italian national team recently qualified for the next ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

The agreement sets up a detailed plan to help Italy improve its cricket technically and structurally, and to become more competitive.

Key areas of collaboration will include:

  • Sharing coaching experts and technical knowledge.
  • Organising joint training programs, camps, and workshops.
  • Arranging friendly matches and bilateral tournaments at different levels.
  • Supporting the improvement of cricket facilities and youth development programs in Italy.

Speaking on the occasion, PCB COO Sumair Ahmad Syed emphasised the PCB's commitment to contributing to global cricketing growth, stating that this partnership represents an important opportunity to strengthen sporting and cultural ties between Pakistan and Italy.

In their official statement, PCB shared, "The PCB looks forward to a productive and long-term partnership that will benefit players, coaches and fans in both nations."

FCRI President Maria Lorena Haz Paz welcomed the collaboration from Pakistan, noting that the agreement aligns with Italy's broader strategy to elevate its cricketing standards.

Lorena added that the FCRI is in the process of securing additional bilateral partnerships with many other foreign cricket boards to further accelerate the sport's development in the country.
