Cricket Ireland names squads for Bangladesh and Sri Lanka tours

In a significant development, Cricket Ireland has named five separate squads for the team's upcoming tours of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Andrew Balbirnie will led the side across formats on both tours.
Former Zimbabwe keeper-batter Peter Moor has been included in the squads picked for the Tests, after qualifying to feature for Ireland in international cricket. The young batter Lorcan Tucker, who missed the recent ODI series against Zimbabwe, has made it into all five squads.
Interestingly, as many as ten uncapped players have been named in the Test squad. However, veteran opener Paul Stirling has been picked only for the white-ball series.

In his reaction, coach Heinrich Malan revealed that Stirling would focus only playing limited-overs cricket, considering the upcoming ODI World Cup in India.
He also emphasised playing as per conditions and game situation, especially in the purest format.
Here's what the Irish coach said
"We want our guys to go out there and figure out how we best play red ball cricket – it’s not that we need to block or play essentially T20 cricket. We have a group of players who like to play an aggressive style in white-ball cricket that people like to watch, but in red ball it’s finding that balance. It’s about playing what’s in front of you – the pitch, the opposition, the scoreboard."
"This year, with a big white ball focus in terms of a pinnacle event in the World Cup, we got to that sort of agreement that up until the World Cup, he will only play white-ball cricket for us."
