Durham County Cricket Club (DCCC) has announced the signing of Paul Coughlin, extending his stay at the club until 2024.

Coughlin, a product of the club's academy system, re-signed with the club back in 2019 after leaving to play for Nottinghamshire for two years. His move was highly-criticised by then club president Sir Ian Botham

Speaking about his extended association with Durham, the 29-year-old sounded extremely pleased and looked forward the coming years.

Coughlin pleased with the signing

“ I’m really pleased to have signed to stay at Durham for another two years. I love being back at my home club and look forward to what we can achieve over the next few years.”

Coughlin, who was Durham's T20 captain in 2017, was welcomed back by Durham's director of cricket Marcus North.

"We have seen in recent times how much of a key role Paul can play for us and I look forward to seeing more of this over the coming seasons,"
