Former Pakistan skipper Waqar Younis reckons that different set of bowlers are required for red and white-ball cricket.

His comments came after speedster Naseem Shah was ruled out of the third Test due to an injury. Naseem has a niggle on his right shoulder and will go for an assessment at the National High-Performance Centre.

Younis reckons that bringing in players directly from T20 to Test matches will result in injuriesand both Naseem and Haris Rauf are examples of it.

Haris Rauf has been ruled out of the entire series due to a right quad injury, Shaheen has been sidelined due to knee issues, and as a result Pakistan have no strike-bowler in their squad currently. The home side went with Mohammad Ali and Faheem Ashraf for the second Test at Multan.

With a lack of quality in the bowling attack,, Pakistan lost the second Test against England as well as the series. The third Test at Karachi begins from December 17, with the hosts looking to salvage some pride.
