Pakistan's prominent batter Babar Azam is on the brink of breaking Javed Miandad's massive record in the upcoming One-Day International series against Australia. Led by Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan will lock horns with Australia in a three-match ODI series Down Under.

The Men in Green have announced a formidable squad for the series, adding some fresh faces to their white-ball setup.

Babar Azam On The Verge Of Going Past Miandad

Meanwhile, Pakistan's experienced batter Babar Azam is on the verge of going past legendary ex-cricketer Javed Miandad in an elite list of batters. Notably, Babar has five international hundreds against Australia, and if he slams two more centuries, he will eclipse Miandad, who is placed second with six hundreds.

As we can see in the table above, Ijaz Ahmed tops the chart with seven international hundreds against Australia. While Miandad claims the second position, Babar Azam is third with five centuries. Thus, if the stylish batter scores two more tons, he will equal Ijaz for the most centuries against the mighty Aussies in international cricket.

Babar Azam Might Complete 2000 International Runs vs Australia

In another notable achievement, Babar Azam can complete 2000 international runs versus the Aussies. He is currently placed second among Pakistan's most successful batters against Australia, having amassed 1914 runs. If he scores 86 runs, Babar will be Pakistan's second batter after Miandad to breach the 2000-run mark against the Aussies.
