Nepal and Oman have secured their places in the 2024 men's T20 World Cup after triumphing in their respective semi-finals during the ICC's Asia region qualifiers. This will be Nepal's second appearance in the T20 World Cup, ten years after they first qualified in 2014. 

With significant developments underway, let's take a look at the current status of team qualifications for the T20 World Cup 2024, the remaining available spots, and other important details: 


How Many Teams Have Qualified for T20 World Cup 2024? 

With Nepal and Oman securing their places in the 2024 T20 World Cup, scheduled to be hosted in the West Indies and the USA next year, 18 teams have solidified their participation in the marquee event. 


How Many Spots Are Left?

There are two teams yet to secure a place for the T20 World Cup 2024 and those two final two spots will be decided at the Africa qualifier, which will conclude at the end of the month. 


Which Teams Have Qualified for T20 World Cup 2024?

West Indies and USA are automatic qualifiers for the 2024 T20 World Cup, and Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Netherlands, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka have secured their spots by ranking among the top eight teams in the 2022 edition.

Afghanistan and Bangladesh, being the next highest-ranked teams in this format, secured their positions. Additionally, Ireland and Scotland earned their spots through the Europe region qualifiers, while Papua New Guinea and Canada qualified from the East Asia-Pacific and Americas regions, respectively.

Back in November 2021, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the 2024 Men's T20 World Cup would be played in the West Indies and the United States.
