India are set to tour Australia for three ODIs and five T20Is starting on October 19. The upcoming series will mark the return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma after a long hiatus. The craze for the veterans' return is unreal, and the fans have already booked tickets in huge margin.

Virat, Rohit's return set tickets on fire

The three ODIs will take place in Perth, Adelaide and Sydney, and the tickets are selling fast like hot pancakes. As per Cricket Australia, ticket sales for the series have already exceeded 175,000, with fewer than 30,000 tickets left for the eight scheduled games.

Notably, the tickets for the 3rd ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground have already sold out. Sydney will host the third ODI on Saturday, October 25 and with that seemingly being Rohit and Kohli’s final 50-over appearance Down Under. Further, fewer than 5,000 seats remain for the Adelaide Oval.

Fans ready to watch India vs Australia T20Is despite Virat and Rohit's absence

Virat and Rohit won't be part of India's T20I set-up, and there were concerns about whether Cricket Australia would be able to create the hype for the T20I series in the veterans' absence. However, in the latest events, reports suggest that the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which will host the second T20I on October 31, has been sold out.

Cricket Australia has confirmed that public tickets for the Melbourne T20I have sold out more than three weeks ahead of the game. The craze can be linked to India's recent Asia Cup triumph and also the aggressive brand of cricket, which can attract any crowd in the world.

The fans are also linking the sold-out game at the MCG, which is the second-largest stadium in the world, to the rise of Abhishek Sharma, who is the No. 1-ranked T20I batter.
