Nepal's 'Six Sixes' Man Enters In ICC's Top 10 Rankings For All-Rounders

Dipendra Singh Airee, the Nepal all-rounder, famously joined the legendary company of Yuvraj Singh and Kieron Pollard by hitting 6 sixes in an over against Qatar on Saturday in the ACC Men's T20I Premier Cup. He has been rewarded for his consistent performances with both bat and ball as he jumps 14 places in the latest ICC T20I all-rounder rankings and sits on 11.

In 2024, Airee has already scored 233 runs at a strike rate of 189.4 and an average of 38.8. One of his stand-out performances came against Qatar in Al Amerat where he was batting 28*(15) before the final over and ended with 64*(21) after his six sixes. 

He also bowled a great spell of 2/34 to win the Player of the Match award as they defeated Qatar by 32 runs.

With the ball, he has just conceded at an economy rate of 6.07 in 2024 while taking 10 wickets in 9 innings, best figures being 2/6.

Thanks to his all-round contributions in the ACC Men's T20I Premier Cup, Nepal sits top of the table in group A with four wins out of four.  The 24-year-old leads their charts in the tournament as is their second-highest run-scorer and wicket-taker as well.

His teammate, Aasif Sheikh, for his consistency in the tournament also jumped a whopping 36 places in the T20I batters rankings to sit at 75th spot. The 2001-born wicketkeeper batter is also the highest run-scorer for Nepal in the mentioned tournament.
