Nathan Coulter-Nile ruled Out Of IPL 2022

Rajasthan Royals (RR) suffered a massive blow as Australian all-rounder Nathan Coulter-Nile, who was picked up by the franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction, has been ruled out of the remainder of the season with an injury.

The Royals were off to an excellent start, knocking the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 61 runs in their opening encounter. However, while most of their bowlers were decent with the ball, Coulter-Nile gave away 48 runs in his three overs. To bring more misery, the Australian picked up a side strain and was forced to leave the field without even finishing his fourth over.

Since then, the Australian fast bowler did not take the field, and Navdeep Saini replaced him in RR's next two matches. While the exact nature of his injury is yet to be known, the franchise has confirmed that he won't be a part of the Royals for the remainder of the season of the IPL 2022.

One of the support staff of RR gave a farewell speech for Coulter-Nile, saying it was tough to give him a farewell, and they are looking forward to having him back with them.

"I had the pleasure of introducing Nathan when he first came into the bubble and our family. Unfortunately, I've got the hard task of wishing him farewell. It's always hard to lose someone particularly when it's through injury. And you know we were looking forward to spending a lot of time with you throughout this tournament."

"But unfortunately, that's not gonna be. He is leaving us tomorrow morning. But you know you are a big part of us. What you have given already has been massive to us. Having you around the group, we have learned a lot from you as well. Travel safely, and anything you need from us we are always here. We look forward to having you back with us," he added.

As far as Rajasthan Royals are concerned, they have tasted the first defeat of IPL 2022 on Tuesday as Royal Challengers Bangalore got the better of them by 4 wickets.

Sanju Samson & Co now have two wins and one defeat in their first three matches of the 15th edition of the IPL. Despite their loss against RCB, Rajasthan continues to be at the top of the IPL 2022 points table, thanks to their better net run rate.
