  • Nasser Hussain Praises Indias White Ball Setup Believes India Should Be In Every Icc Final

Nasser Hussain praises India’s white-ball setup, believes India should be in every ICC final

India, under the guidance of Rohit Sharma, trumped hosts England 2-1 in the three-match T20I series. The 'Men in Blue' won the first two games with convincing margins but lost the final one, albeit a remarkable rearguard fightback launched by number four batter Suryakumar Yadav.

India's recent win carries captain Sharma's unbeaten bilateral record since he was assigned to the role on a full-term basis last year. Their recent strings of white-ball wins also put them on the right track on their roadmap for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.

Former England captain and active commentator Nasser Hussain seems to think the same: he recently praised the Indian white-ball setup. While commentating for Sky Sports during the third T20I, Hussain remarked that the Indian team should qualify for every ICC final because of the quality they possess.

The cricketer-turned-commentator said:

"This Indian side should be in every ICC white ball final with the quality that they have."

India's roadmap to ICC T20 World Cup 2022

The Indian team is scheduled to play several white-ball matches, including more than eight T20I games, ahead of the main event in Australia.

They will play five matches in West Indies between July and August and a three-match series against Australia at home in September. While an itinerary is yet to be released, the Indian T20 unit will also be playing Asia Cup 2022 in Sri Lanka, possibly in August.

However, India's immediate international assignment will be a set of three ODI matches against England between July 12 and July 17.
