As India gears up for the second Test of the five-match series against England at Edgbaston, Birmingham, Mohammed Siraj was spotted putting in extra effort to improve his batting. However, the practice session took a hilarious turn when the fast bowler discovered his bat had been broken. This triggering a dramatic and humorous response that quickly went viral on social media.

India, having suffered a heavy defeat in the opening Test at Leeds, is determined to bounce back and level the series. One of the primary areas of concern for the team has been the lack of runs from the lower order, with the tail-enders failing to provide sufficient support to the top-order batters.

Mohammed Siraj's Funny Banter

The viral clip, shared by The Times of India, shows Siraj walking into the practice nets. In a split second, he dramatically throws his hands up in the air in frustration, shouting, “WHO BROKE MY BAT?!” before bursting into laughter. The entire scene, which began with anger and confusion, ended with Siraj flashing his signature grin. His playful reaction quickly became a talking with many dubbing it "classic Siraj."

Siraj Focuses On Batting After Lower Order Struggles

During India’s loss in the first Test, the lower order, including Mohammed Siraj, came under heavy scrutiny for their poor batting performances. In both innings, no batter from No. 8 onward managed to reach double digits.

Siraj himself had an underwhelming performance, scoring just three runs in the first innings before being dismissed for a golden duck in the second innings. Despite playing at No. 11 in most of his Test career, Siraj has occasionally been pushed higher up the order.  As a result, Siraj have taken it upon himself to dedicate more time in the nets to improve their batting skills.

While Siraj's batting remains an area of focus, his bowling performance in the first Test was also poor. In the opening match of the series, Siraj struggled to support Jasprit Bumrah, particularly in the first innings, where his inconsistent line and length allowed England to gain crucial momentum. In the second innings, Siraj bowled with more control and delivered a tighter opening spell.

The second Test is critical for India as they look to level the series after the opening-match defeat.
