In the ongoing only-Test between India Women and Australia Women at Mumbai, the hosts gained the upper hand on Day 1, folding the visitors for 219.

Pacer Pooja Vastrakar was the standout performer for India, clinching as many as four wickets, which included the likes of Beth Mooney, Ellyse Perry, and Ashleigh Gardner.

Vastrakar displayed pinpoint accuracy in her line and lengths, which even her opponents could not stop from applauding.

Australia all-rounder Tahlia McGrath, who top-scored for Australia with a gritty fifty, stated how Vastrakar's bowling could be compared to that of a robot, who bowls relentlessly in probing areas.

Here's what McGrath said

"The length she (Pooja Vastrakar) bowls is perfect for Test cricket. It's just relentless. And she's almost robotic. She just runs in and hits the spot time after time and puts so much pressure on the batters. So, for us, it was about capitalizing whenever she gave us any width we had to put it away. As well as try to use our left-right combination as much as possible to try and throw her off her lengths."

As quoted by Cricbuzz, McGrath also opened up about her challengers on facing Vastrakar in the middle, who was on-song having dismissed Perry with a peach of a delivery.

"Vastrakar bowled extremely well. The ball she got Pez (Ellyse Perry) with was an absolute peach. When I was walking out to bat, she was getting sideways movement of the seam both ways, and she just bowls a relentless length that keeps you on your toes and is perfect for Test match cricket. She is an extremely talented cricketer and was disciplined with her skills today."

As of writing, play has resumed on Day 3 at Wankhede, and India are placed comfortably on 136 for 1, with Smriti Mandhana and Sneh Rana batting on 69* and 7*, respectively still 86 runs behind Australia's first innings score.
