According to emerging reports, Australia's all-format players might miss the upcoming T20I series against Pakistan to prepare for the high-voltage Test series against India on home soil.

The Aussies are slated to tour Pakistan for six white-ball matches, three ODIs, and T20Is between November 4 and 18.

Star Australia players to miss Pakistan T20Is

The tour begins with a three-match ODI series on November 4. The ODIs will be followed by three T20Is, scheduled between 14-18 November.

The proximity of the Pakistan T20Is to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy might lead to several multi-format players' exclusion from Australia's squad.

According to ESPN Cricinfo, the multi-format players will be given the best preparation facilities for the five-Test series, with the Sheffield Shield starting on October 8.

Even if they are rested for the first round, they will get three First-Class matches to fine-tune themselves for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Therefore, players like Travis Head, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Marsh and Josh Hazlewood, who play all formats for Australia, will likely miss the T20I series against Pakistan.

In such a scenario, Cricket Australia will name a squad only comprising white-ball specialists. So, the likes of Jake Fraser-McGurk, Matthew Short, Nathan Ellis and Aaron Hardie could be the key players for the Aussies in Pakistan T20Is.
